Miles tonne is a family owned and operated business that has been selling unique leather and suede clothing at Art and Renaissance festivals for over 40 years. 

John Meilinger, aka Miles Tonne. a young environmentalist stumbled upon a large scrap pile of leather and suede that was being thrown away at a local coat factory. recognizing that this beautiful material shouldn’t go to waste, he grabbed all he could and started stockpiling leather and suede scraps... Soon he began patching together the pieces and out of this he created many clothing designs which have been enjoyed for decades.

Now run by Ian Meilinger (Aka Miles Tonne II) and his partner Natalee Wheeler, the company continues to create unique leather and suede clothing. “We strive to create the finest products meant for years of use and guarantee all of the craftsmanship that goes into making every Miles Tonne piece. We construct each item individually by hand using only leathers that are a byproduct of the food industry (Lamb, Pig, Cow, Goat, deer).”

Our goal is to assist each individual in attaining their desired style. Each Piece of miles tonne clothing is a one of a kind work of wearable art.
